Fire, Fuels and Explosion
We are often called upon to determine the cause of fires in houses, shops and industrial buildings as well as machines and vehicles and have experience in investigating suspected arson cases. Electrical fires arising from defective equipment, poor installation and tampering are also investigated.
Fuels produce the risk of fire as well as some less obvious hazards, such as dermatitis from improper handling or the burning of fuels giving rise to carbon monoxide poisoning. We can provide expert reports concerning gas and solid fuel burning equipment for domestic and commercial premises.
Our experience of investigating explosions covers the more common cases resulting from gas escapes or the improper use of fuels, to cases where explosions have occurred from more unusual sources such as fine powders.
